Organic Cotton Cloth Diapers and Liners
We make our organic cotton cloth diapers are with two layers of thick, soft, super-absorbent flannel! Designed to be used with liners, and to take your baby from preemie or tiny newborn through to toddler, our shaped diapers rinse out well and dry more quickly than fitted and all-in-one cloth diapers. They adjust well (by simply folding back &/or front down) to any shape or size of baby bottom, and can be used with or without pins. To use them without pins, use a form fitting diaper cover. Large and extra-large sizes have elastic in the legs for improved fit.
Not to try and confuse things, but to save buying several sizes of diapers and liners, a couple of other ideas are: you can use the large diaper liner as a trifold diaper for newborns, and small size diaper can be used as a liner for the large diaper when baby gets bigger.
So, let's say your baby's weight (or the one you are buying for) at birth is 7.5 lbs, which is around Canada's average birth rate. If you are willing to use the large diaper liners as tri-folds, you could use a bunch of them to start. When baby outgrows them, you could go straight to the large diaper size, fold them down at the back and front to fit, and now you can use all your large diaper liners, as, well, diaper liners instead of diapers.
On the other hand, if you don't want to fold liners into trifold diapers, you could start with small diapers (folding the back & front down if necessary) and small diaper liners. When baby outgrows the small size, you move on to large diapers and you can use the outgrown small diapers as liners in the large diapers. If you need to go bigger (our kids were both 5 before they decided to use the potty) then move on to the extra large size.
Preemie 5-10 lbs (our kids were 3.5lbs & 4lbs at birth - now they're both taller than me!) Small - 10-20 lbs Large - 20-30 lbs Extra Large - 30+ lbs For more information about cloth diapers and diapering tips, click here. Made in British Columbia, Canada |
